Creativity is a Superpower!
Circumstances in our world are changing at a pace we never could have imagined just a few weeks ago.
How can we cope, and even thrive, in this shifting landscape? How can we take care of ourselves and our loved ones?
The more flexible, adaptable, and creative we can be, the better we can cope with changing circumstances.
Heart centered women with high empathy also tend to be creative, even if we don’t think of ourselves as “artistic” or “creative.”
How can you develop your creativity even more?
Calm your brain. When you’re in survival mode, your brain is focused on preparing to fight or flee, so there is no mental energy available for creativity. Check out this earlier article I wrote on 7 Ways to Calm Your Mind.
Develop a creativity practice. Spend time every day intentionally connecting with your creativity.
Expand your creativity by stretching your brain. Every time we learn, do, or create something new we build new pathways in our brains.
Connect with other creative people.
The primitive, survival part of your brain wants you to stay in familiar circumstances, be safe, and never take risks.
But as our world rapidly changes, to thrive we need to move out of our survival brains and into more calm and creativity.
