Embrace All of Your Life!
Do you believe that life is supposed to be wonderful all the time and we’re supposed to be happy all the time?
This belief can create a lot of suffering.
The reality is that nobody’s life is great all the time, and no one is happy all the time.
What if life and our emotions are meant to be a mix of the positive and the negative?
What if we’re meant to experience the whole range of human experience?
The joy and the sadness.
The good and the bad.
The wonderful things that happen and the terrible things that happen.
What if we could let go of needing/wanting everything to be positive, and just embrace life as it is?
All the messiness, the pain, the sorrow - all the ways our lives aren’t “perfect.”
That doesn’t mean giving up and not trying to make things better.
We can be big enough to hold two truths – accepting all of life as it is, and also seeking to make it better.
